In this issue of Michigan Builder Magazine we wanted to take a few moments to thank the many volunteer leaders across our great state. Collectively, with affiliate memberships, our state association is now approaching 5,000 members. Nationally, there are roughly 140,000 members. Far too often we get isolated in our own corner of the state and forget that we are ALL part of something bigger. Together, we are all stronger. Our voice is louder. We share ideas and best practices that improve our businesses. We leverage discounts and other benefits that improve our bottom lines.

Whether you are a member or a non-member reader of this publication, we hope you won’t hesitate to reach out to the HBA in your neck of the woods. Contact your local president. Tell them what you think they’re doing right or what could be improved upon. As you can see from their company information listed below, we are fortunate to have a diverse mix of leaders across the state. Good leaders know they don’t know everything. They want your input and feedback. And they need your active participation at your local association. Bottom line: let them know you appreciate all their hard work.
