HBA of Michigan 2019 Fall Convention RECAP

Nearly 200 leaders and HBA members from around the state participated in the HBA’s Annual Fall Convention at Grand Hotel in early October. If you weren’t able to attend this year, here’s a glimpse of what you missed: Luncheon speakers discussing When & How Controlled Environment Construction Will Change the Way You Build; a Young Professionals Roundtable focused on the next generation; a breakout session entitled “Stop Ignoring and/or Self-Diagnosing Your Business Challenges.”; and a breakfast address on Michigan’s Housing and Economic Outlook. Your state association’s board of directors also adopted a 2020 budget and approved a new vision for how the association will govern and organize itself starting in 2021. In between board & committee meetings, there were multiple receptions, dueling pianos entertainment, a wine and chocolate tasting party and an ice cream social and surprise retirement party for HBA Michigan’s longtime event planner Pam Frankenberger. None of this would have been possible without the gracious sponsorship support from our partners: Frankenmuth Insurance, DTE Energy, Consumers Energy, Michigan Propane Gas Association, MSHDA, ABC/HBA of Michigan Health Trust, Chemical Bank and McLelland & Anderson.
