Dear HBA Members—
I have had the great honor of working for HBA for the past twenty years. You may not remember but I started out as the receptionist. As time went on I asked for more work, answering the phone was not keeping me busy enough. After two years and earning my certification as a Certified Meeting Professional, I was able to become the “meeting planner” for the association. This is the best job ever!! Telling people where to go, planning locations for events, selecting food (that I liked), and most importantly working with all of you.
It has been a great ride! When I started out, we had a board of 800 and now are down to the “manageable” number of 120 directors. Over the years many people in the association have come and gone but I wish to call all of you my friend. There is no greater source of inspiration and motivation than to walk into an event and be greeted by smiles of friendly and supportive members like all of you!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great surprise during the Ice Cream Social at the Grand Hotel. I wish continued success to all of you.

PS -Remember me as you are wearing your “It’s all about Pam” shirt when you are mowing, shoveling, changing the oil or any other fun activity.
Editor’s Note: Pam Frankenberger is retiring from the HBAM staff on December 31st, after nearly 20 years of service. A surprise party and thank you celebration took place during the association’s fall convention on Mackinac Island. l
